We started VetFaster after watching too many Calgary families struggle with the rising cost of pet medication, and the simple fact that not everyone can make it to a pharmacy.
The math stopped working for pet families.
Pet medication has become genuinely expensive. A single monthly prescription can cost more than a family's weekly grocery bill, and prices keep rising. We met pet owners who were skipping doses, splitting pills, or quietly going without. Not from neglect, but from impossible math.
At the same time, we kept hearing the same thing from a different group: "I just can't get to the pharmacy." Seniors who shouldn't be driving. People living with chronic illness or mobility challenges. New parents. Shift workers. Folks without a car, in the middle of a Calgary winter, with a sick dog at home.
Both problems had the same root cause. A system designed around the pharmacy, not around you. So we built something different. A service that uses technology to bring affordable, vet-approved medication directly to your door, anywhere in Calgary, Airdrie, and Chestermere.
